First of, Hello all!!
Last week I joined the gym, I have been every day since I joined. Which is great for me, going from nothing to exercising for a least an hour every day, plus swimming..
However, I am getting concerned. I am losing weight everywhere, apart from me belly
When I go to the gym I am using the cross trainer, spinner, rower and walking at different paces. I haven't even thought about weights yet as I still have a lot of weight to lose.
So my question is, how can I lose my tummy?!
Thanking you all in advance

Keep at, at some point add some resistance training. The belly is always last to go, but it will go.0

Calling yourself a "Chunk" is so negative. You need positive thoughts.0

Just stick with it. you'll start to lose in the tummy when your body stops burning else where. It'll happen - just stick with it!!!!0

I agree - keep doing what your doing. If after a week you are already seeing results you are doing something right. It is impossible to spot reduce (meaning just get rid of your stomach). Just keep working out and eating right and you will see the changes you are looking for.
Also I noticed when I first started out I was the same way - I didn't care about my legs or arms just my stomach. I wanted a nice flat stomach and THEN I figured I would go from there. After being on my journey for almost a year I noticed the more I was fixated on toning and losing in that area THE HARDER IT BECAME TO LOSE THERE.
So all and all just stay positive, because what you are doing IS working. If you need any additional support or just want an extra friend feel free to send me a FR.0 -
You cannot spot reduce your tum. Start lifting NOW! RIGHT NOW!
Also: stop the negative self talk. You aren't doing yourself any favors by calling yourself names.

Thanks all for your replies!
I have been getting nervous about losing all this weight, and at the end of it needing excess skin removal!
I'm not being negative about myself, but realistic! I know I have done well so far and I am proud of what I have achieved so far, but know I have a long way to go. Also it was only my fault I got myself in to such a state in the first place.
I have never done lifting, ever! So I wouldn't even know where to start. What lifts? How many? Etc.
I will have a look round the gym tonight and see what I can figure out to use..
Thank you all again all0 -
The guy who is training me has spent more effort on lifting than cardio with me. We spend 30-45mins a day on Cardio and over an hour on weights. Lifting weights helps keep the calorie burning going well after the workout. Will definitely contribute.0

Well with lifting there are about a thousand things you can do. I would recommend you break it up by body part or parts. For example, so chest and back one day, legs and butt another, and arms and shoulders another. If you go to youtube, you can likely just type in something like chest and back workout and you will get a ton of ideas. Also because we say lift that does not necessarily mean with weights. You can get all you need with your own body weight. You just have to learn how to do it. Like I said, use Youtube, lots of how-to videos on there.0

It's been a week, and I have been doing all my usual cardio in the gym, and also I have been adding in the ab roller (I dont know what it is called) But boy I can feel it and, the best bit is, People (Close) have mentioned how smaller my tummy is getting!!
Thankyou one and all!!0
