Water and Diuretics. HELP!!!

Hi, All! Ever since I started my weight loss journey, I have made sure my water intake is PURELY water with nothing added; I don't drink soda, tea, flavored water...etc. (tea is a treat outside of water intake and I do milk with cereal every day. only two liquids I consume outside of water).

I've always been afraid of adding anything because of water then becoming a diuretic and not counting against true intake. I'm honestly confused by all I've read and wanted to get some thoughts on what I wanted to do....

Lately, lemon/lime/orange slices with a few drops of stevia extract in water has been HEAVEN! But, again, would this become a diuretic and no longer count against my TRUE daily intake? I wanted to do this on days I'm just not "feeling" the water in take to get me to drink like I should. But, I'm afraid to add variety here and ended up only having to drink that AND my pure water.

HELP!

And...be honest if I am COMPLETELY over thinking this. But, I have to be VERY precise on things because I'm OCD like that AND it's working thus far.....just don't want to get bored which is occurring after a year....

Your body is going to intake the water it needs regardless of what you put into it. I think you're over thinking this.

    You're overthinking it.

Drink whatever non-caloric drinks you want. Water is water. Mild changes in water retention from caffiene won't effect fat loss. If it messes with your scale then weigh yourself less often.
