Hello everyone. I am a recent college graduate and i am here to lose those pounds i gained in college. I have struggled with weight all my life but i think i have it under control. My biggest obstacle is calories from alcohol..so any ideas let me know.

I have the same problem.
What is your favourite tipple? I cut calories by making my G&T with diet tonic - I don't taste the difference and I can have a 35ml gin and tonic for only 70 calories. So instead of starting on the wine or beer, I'll have a G&T and then a glass of wine with dinner - saves calories. I haven't tried it but a lot of people swear by spritzers to cut the wine calories.

Hello... and welcome to MFP.
So far as reducing calories, if you don't want to get rid of the alcohol all together use less caloric mixers and chasers. That should help some. Cutting it out or down to no more than a couple per week is probably going to be your best bet, but trust me as a lover of Tequila its not easy. Just keep your goals in mind whenever you poor the next drink. :flowerforyou:0 -
Welcome, you're going to do great!
In a perfect world you cut out the alcohol all together. Not just for the cals in it, but I know for me that it's a lot harder to control my appetite if I've had a few, and definitely hard to run in the mornings with a hangover!
But, if you have to do it, stick to the advice above. 0 calorie mixes, light beers, etc.0
