So, I've been doing this for a while now and I still can't get under that pesky 15st mark!!
I walk a lot, eat better (I eat about 1450-1550 cals a day) , do sit-ups, I just dance for about 40 mins every couple of days and I'm about to join a gym on Friday!
Its really making me want to give this up.

I too feel like giving up today.
But I won't.
And neither will you! :flowerforyou:
Hang in there hun, keep trying and it will happen eventually. Never as fast as we'd like, but we'll get there in the end!0 -
Don't give up. I had a massive weigh drop initially then it plateaued. But even though you may not be losing weight your overall fitness levels will keep improving as you continue to exercise. Fat will become muscle which since its heavier will give you the impression of not losing weight.
Look at you recent activities and see how much easier you find them compared to maybe six months ago. The weight factor is only one part of getting fit. So stick with it and keep on dancing.0 -

so you're making positive changes, and enjoying your new, healthier life...and you want to give up because a number won't cooperate?
I hear you, believe me. But think about what you're GAINING as well as what you're losing - and i'm not talking about scale weight here x0 -
dont give up
in january I lost 6lb and started at just a pound under your 15st then last month I sts throughout the whole month - I was very despondant and did not know what I had done wrong
since last monday I have been taking my calories weekly not daily and having higher and lower days so some days 1400 some daysl 1100 etc and this last week I lost over 2lb so it seems to have shocked my body into losing again
so it is something you might like to try
are you weighing all your food and milk etc are you using digital scales or balance scales - those are quite acurate if they are the old spring type ones they might not be accurate enough
are you eating back your exercise calories - if so be careful as mfp seems to over estimate the number of calories given
I only eat back half my exercise calories (well that is what I started last week)
just a few things to consider0 -

If you want to get a more accurate calorie used figure I'd recommend getting a heart rate monitor to wear during exercise. It's much more effective than relying on mfp figures.0 -
Please, listen to me very carefully! Do not give up! I don't even know you, but i know you can do this. the proof is that you're here, and that by joining this community, you've made a commitment to yourself.
Losing weight is a result of an active, healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
You've got to build or rebuild the infrastructure for weight reduction. That starts with learning about diet and caloric intake. Then getting active and building some muscle tone, which will boost your metabolism. This, for most of us, is a battle of weeks and months...not days.
For me... I compare my journey in relation to the length of time it took for bad habits to get me where I started (about three years). For every bad day in the past, I am committed to living a good day now to balance the ledger.
It's not a sacrifice because I already took out the loan....now I'm just paying myself back. I hope you'll take a deep breath and decide to INCREASE your activity level. The demons and the shadows are pushing you down and whispering In your ear. Maybe it's time to get a little angry about it. Maybe it's time to push back! You can't do it!0
