I'm 5'4" and 195lb. I started off at 220, and am doing TDEE - 20%. I eat around 1,850 - 2,100 a day. I'm 24 years old. I'm also tackling ED issues -mainly binging and purging. I'm looking for more friends who eat around the same, have had a similar journey. I don't condone, or appreciate friends who eat the "bare minimum." During my ED, I was staying between 500 and 1,000 calories a day, so having friends who eat 1,200 is a bit of a trigger for me, and not something I would like to surround myself with.

So, hi any friends?

  • Hi,

I have recently started my personal fitness program. According to that plan, I need to take 1200 Cal perday.

So I am now taking 1200/day calories.

    Regards,

Most WOMEN need more than that for their bodies to function correctly....men need more!! Speaking from experience, I would aim to eat more calories because you will get fed up of eating such low calories and being deprived and it could lead to binging!!

Hi. I just started back here after some monumental failures. Hoping to succeed by being a bit more answerable due to this site. I too am on 1200 cals. Planning to stick with paleolithic type diet so should find that a very satisfying amount. (I hope). Anyway all the best to all and me. :)

I never fought ED but my family did in my sister, and because of her I am doing this the right way--the least impact on myself AND her. I am eating the maintenance calories of my goal weight, right smack in the middle of a healthy range. This means I eat 1500/day +exercise calories (though Ive been a bit of a slacker and losing steam with exercising, as it were)

I commend you for your strength and fighting for a healthy body, inside and out.
