im so freaking proud of my self!!! i had accidentally skipped lunch so i was super hungery..and i was trying to figure out what i could eat without over doing it (easier said than done) when in walks mom with two big bags of mcdonald's...first i freak out a little..then and what i did next shows that im actually getting somewhere!!! i gave my dr.pepper to my sister..then i cut up a an apple and a huge red bell pepper and got a big glass of ice water... i only took 5 of the ten nuggets mom had bought me and only a very small handful of fries, i made myself eat the apple and bell pepper before i even touched the mcdonalds, and a peeled a bit of breading off the chicken nuggets..it ended up being a really filling meal for only 658 calories (i always guess high on here)(also check out todays diary..it makes me smile lol) and becuase i ate the chicken and fries last it kinda feels like a just had a big meal of mcdonalds... before i would have not only eaten my full ten nuggets and whole medium fry and dr.pepper..but i would have stolen some from everybody else too! i iknow this might sound silly..its only one meal..but it means alot to me.

That's great! Shows that you don't have to never eat fast food - but who needs 2300 calories worth when you can be satisfied with just a taste of it!?

Excellent job - great decision making skills!! And what a way to think it out and still make it a great meal for yourself.
  • Great job!!
You don't have to deprive yourself completely, but making small changes can really make a difference!
    Keep it up!!

Um, no, McDonald's is a big deal. If I'm near those fries... I can't even explain it. YUMMIEST fries ever but probably the worst health-wise for you. Ick.

    Great job, babe!!!!

I know how you feel. :) Great job. Today, my brother brought home taco bell, and yes, I did eat a single chicken quesadilla. I went a bit over on my fat grams, but not on my calories. So, I just doubled my exercise to make sure I didn't screw things up. I could have easily eaten the other chicken quesadilla and two tacos left over in the fridge, but.... Amazingly, one was enough for me.
