I'm in the market for my first HRM and can't decide between the BodyBugg or Polar brands. What are the differences between the varieties within each brand (BodyBugg...Core or Link) (Poloar...FT4 or FT7)?

I went with a wahoo hrm. http://www.wahoofitness.com/Products/Wahoo-Fitness-Wahoo-Blue-HR-Heart-Rate-Strap.asp
Works with digifit.0 -
I picked up a Polar FT4. I manually plug my training data into an Excel spreadsheet.
The Polar FT7 looks pretty good, too. It can transmit your workout numbers to your computer automatically (with a $50 add-on component).
Read about both here:

The BodyBugg, Bodymedia Link and Bodymedia Core are not heart rate monitors. But I did read that the new Bodymedia Core2 (which is scheduled to be released in August with a MSRP of $150) will have an optional HRM strap that you can purchase.
Here is a Core2 rah-rah interview: http://revision3.com/hak5/bodymedia-core20 -
I have a polar FT60- it also tracks my burning zones , tells me my fat burning ration and sets weight loss plans for me.
At the end of each session I just log my calories in as mixed cardio in MFP manually (I have MFP on my phone and do this over brekky!)
previously I had a runtastic HRM with dongle.. was forever dropping out and it drove me up the wall. Will never turn away from Polar now0 -
Body Bug/Bodymedia fit are for all day wear. HRM are just for cardio exercise. I'd get BMF rather that BB as it syncs with MFP.0
