I'm transitioning over from WW and I have to start weighing myself and need to buy an large capacity accurate scale. Any suggestions anyone?

Even with the most accurate scale, you won't know if your weight loss/gain is from water retention, LBM, or fat... so take measurements and don't worry too much about the scale.0

This is the scale I purchased -- and I am so glad I did!
Read the reviews. The company has an excellent reputation for backing its product.
It doesn't have all the bells and whistles (ie: body fat estimate, bone density, BMI or any of those other things) But it is accurate and it weighs in 0.2 (2/10th) of a pound increments.
I had another digital scale, one that weighed in full pounds (no fraction of a pound). I could step on and off and on and off and I'd get a different weight each time. It would vary by three or four pounds! This one is consistent ... which was good enough for me.
I was curious how close the weight came to my doctor's scale (also digital). Immediately before leaving for a doctor's appointment, I weighed myself, fully clothed. Went to my appointment and stepped on the scale. The difference was 0.6 pound. Now I'm convinced that I made the best choice. Best of all, it's less than $40 at Amazon.0 -
i got a thinner brand at walmart for $15 and it is spot on, I weighted my dumbells lol0

My problem wasn't the alternative, it was that you told her not to worry about the scale so much as if this was a topic about a chronic scale user. She no longer has access to a scale and even if you only weigh once a month you should have an idea of how much you weigh. Most scales don't go past 300 lbs and I think its important she finds a good one that can weigh her.0 -

I also have an EatSmart brand scale that I love. Mine is a higher end model, but it seems to be pretty accurate for weight and body fat.

I bought the red/orange one.
I had actually asked this question a few months ago and found that most people said to go basic. The ones with the water measurements, bmi measurements, etc, weren't accurate for them. So I went with basic and I love it. Also, I feel better knowing that I'm not measuring inaccurate numbers.
ETA: I do measurements also. I want to know ALL the numbers that go down. :bigsmile:0 -

I got a Taylor brand Digital Body Fat scale on Amazon, I like it except that it reads everything in KG and you have to look it up online and convert it to LBs.0
