Too much VitronC????

So, I have been taking an iron supplement plus vitamin c, over the last two months. Too make a long story short, the supplement has rid me of daily dizzy spells, headaches, and blurriness. I'm not having any of the normal side effects associated with the supplement, which I attribute to the vitamin c intake. Yet, I think the increase in vitamin c is causing other effects, I.e.: increased bowel movements during the day and gas issues. (embarrassing:embarassed:
) Do, I need to take the supplement everyday, or do you think it is a good idea to back off? ..Here is the daily value of the supplement: Vitamin C, 125 mg ~ Iron, 65 mg. 0

I'm going to hazard a guess that you are not taking this under medical supervision.
Too much iron is dangerous because your body cannot eliminate it. Perhaps you should check with a doctor regarding your need for iron supplements and the appropriate dosage.0 -
not really, my doc told me I had to get on a supplement, period....she just hasn't said how much, and I never even thought to ask....0

Call the office and say exactly that ^^^
She'll have someone call you and tell you how much...0 -
Where the hell did you get that supplement??!?? 65mg of iron is almost 4X the daily RDA for a middle aged woman!0

....and, FTR, the Vitamin C isn't giving you symptoms or issues....VitC is water soluble, so you'll excrete what you don't use. The Iron will give you issues if you take too much.0

called the doc, they don't think it's that. So, they want me to keep taking the supplement daily. Could it be Yoga induced?...Like I said, I'm only taking 65 mg of Iron a day...0

I would ONLY ask and ONLY listen to a doctor. This could be serious stuff. Don't mess around with your health. If something isn't "normal" and if your gut is telling you it isn't right. Get it checked out asap. Please!0 -
Yeah, now I'm thinking, that I am taking too much iron, or maybe i needed to take B12 instead....Just wish the doc, wouldn't say keep on taking the supplement...I am so frustrated and confused!0
