Well, I was. And now I am trying to lose weight in a healthy way, but I feel all of the old triggers to starve myself coming back. I really need some help
Last time I had an eating disorder I was sent to a hospital which made me eatover 3,000 calories a day :l I do not want to be anorexic, I don't want to fall into that habit again. Especially because if someone thinks I am, I won't be allowed to diet AT ALL. Not even in a healthy way.

You say that you were anorexic, but those thoughts will always be in the back of your mind, haunting you and wanting to bring you down. Maybe what you need to focus on is not so much losing weight, but just being healthy. Really strive to hit your macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs) and take a multivitamin. Don't go crazy and just eat veggies and fruit, you can eat real food and maintain a healthy weight. Maybe you could work with a nutritionist or someone trained for your situation? That way you could have the psychological support that you need and you could learn to really treat your body well and give it all it needs. If not, just be reasonable about your goals and if you feel yourself getting consumed, talk to someone about it. You CAN do this the healthy way :flowerforyou:0

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I do understand having an obsession about food. Whether we're obsessing about eating it or not eating it, they are both unhealthy.
I would recommend making a list of "triggers". Situations that tempt you to fall back on your old destructive habits. Once you make a list of them, maybe you can avoid those situations or at least recognize your vulnerability before you walk into them.
I will pray for God's wisdom, guidance, and strength for you.0 -
At 5'7", and 140 lbs, you are at 21 BMI. This is a wonderful place to stay.
According to this web site, you are at a perfectly healthy weight:
http://www.bing.com/bmi/search?q=bmi calculate&height=5'7%22&weight=140&domain=bmi.
140 would be a dream for me. I am 5'6" and 151 lbs and losing about a pound a week. I am aiming for about 142, at my lowest, and am ony 9 lbs away.
Best of luck in your decisions, sweet person. Hugs, BJB0 -
Thank you all. You are all very kind, and i will follow your advice.0

Have you tried a 12 step group for eating disorders? OA.org is wonderful and anorexics and bullemics are welcomed. It helps deal with the "whys" not just the hows.0
