Any ladies make this happen

Wondering if any ladies have gone from a true apple shape, like this one, to maybe a hourglass or even a rectangle? If so could you post a picture?

I don't have any before pics, but I started out very similar to the pic on the left. I currently look like my profile pic.

That's not much to go on, but somewhere in the bowels of the mfp forums there's a giant thread of apple-shaped success stories with loads of pics. I can't remember what it's called, but if you search for apple shaped success pics, I would think it would come up. There are tons and tons of pics in that thread though.
  • Thanks! I must have missed that in my search.

I'm not sure how huge of a difference there is in the mid-section. I know that I actively work on my core all the time.

Started square/rectangular, then swelled up into almost apple, now am heading back to squarish. I've got a couple of pics in my blog. (Not sure if it's open though, if not message me, and I'll change it). Never going to be hour glass, just don't have the bone structure for it, but I'll be delighted to get back to rectangular!

I would be happy with a rectangle, too! Will go look now.

This is what I was I read in Bill Phillips book (BFL, Transformation guy). He said if you are an apple and you do cardio and lose weight, you'll just be a smaller apple. Same with a pear. You will lose weight and just be a smaller pear.

However, if you lift weights you can change your shape from an apple or pear to that of what you truly desire.

Yes thank you! There's at least one other older one that I'm thinking of that's many pages long, but my search results just tease me and say page 1 of 16-with no way to get past page 1 :(. There's a second one on page one of the search, but not many pics in it. It's not the one I was thinking of, but I can't get to that one. Sorry!

I have been lifting, will continue for sure. :flowerforyou:

When I followed that it gave me more, I even saw a really good picture that gives me lots of hope. Thanks!
