  • Chicken salad wrap - not sandwich
Try to make sure it has a lot of chicken, the protein keeps you fuller for longer :)
  • Thank you!! :)

Not sure about the 'wrap' suggestion - because they tend to be bigger they also tend to have more calories/carbs than bread. Just make sure you read all the labels. If something comes with no mayo then it's a bonus. It may be a better idea in future to pack your own lunches if you can't find anything healthy at the nearby shops!

houmous and carrot sticks. Main things to avooid are cheese (unless low fat) mayo (ditto), guacamole. what sort of shops do you have nearby? also beware of pre-packed salads (especially pasta or potato!) unless the dressing is separate.

Given that just one slice of bread has anywhere from 90-110 calories, I think a wrap (even if it is 150-170 calories) is still a lower cal option than a 2-slices-of-bread sandwich. And a tortilla (instead of a wrap) can be as low as 110 for Soft Taco size. FlatOut FoldIt sandwich flatbreads are just 90 calories and make a great sandwich. Just throwing that in.

any good salad places close to you? my lunch at home is typically a spinach salad loaded with veggies and one protein (egg, avocado or chicken breast), and then a oil/vinegar dressing. It fills me up and gives me the energy and protein for the morning.

Good ideas given for today...for tomorrow, pack a lunch and bring it in with you so you know exactly what you're having and can make good choices :)

My go-to lunch is hummus with some whole wheat pita bread and tomatoes. So good and so fillling!

Oscar Meyer Deli Sliced Smoked Ham - Lunch Meat, 3 Slices
Kraft - Miracle Whip Lite, 0.5 tbsp
Village Hearth - Light Italian Bread, 2 slices
    Lettuce - Iceberg - Iceberg
Tomatoes - Grape Tomatoes, 1 Cup

Lunch is the hardest meal for me to come up with. I don't work but I would find it better to just make a quick sandwich, add a small can of V-8 and have lunch. The sandwich is about 150 calories.
