Hey guys,
Just a quick question, I know its 10 days per level, but what I don't know is if you suppose to take rest days?
Do I do a rest day every 5 days or do I just soldier on and do the workouts back to back?
Thanks.

You can take rest days if you need it.. just don't use that as an excuse to give up because it's hard or something.
I successfully completed 30DS taking rest days, another time I did it 30 days straight, following month I just added it to my routine a couple of days a week
Just listen to your body... your body will be sore if you haven't done it already the first few days but afterwards it's all good.0 -
i dont think you are supposed to but listen to your body (like previous person mentioned). I didnt take rest days but now doing her Ripped in 30 days video which she recommends 5-6 days a week and I believe mentioned it in the video that you need rest days. The video is set up just like Shred with the 3-2-1.0

Thanks Dixie,
final question a lot of the reviews I've read on the program says you lose more inches than Kgs on the program? Is that your experience?
PS: I know the number on the scale doesn't mean much, but I would still like to lose inches and Kilos.
Thanks again0 -

Yes, more inches lost than weight.
Doing this program and a bit of life experience changed my view.. I am very happy to lose inches over weight. You will love this program. Let us know how you make out with it.. lots of 30DS pic threads on the forums.
Also, don't forget to measure and take pics. It will help you when you don't see the scale budge0 -
Okay, I will take my measurements tonight. I started yesterday and luckily I'm not a complete beginner so will strive to do a full 30 days no breaks unless of course my body says otherwise.0

I took a rest day each week and really needed it. I was also doing some other cardio (treadmill or stationary bike).
Jillian talks about rest days on the Ripped in 30 video, so it's not a bad thing to incorporate. You will still see results, especially if you stick to a calorie deficit throughout.
I also saw a significant reduction in inches more so than pounds.
Good luck!0 -
According to Jillian Michaels in her podcast, she meant this workout to be two days of Shred, one day of cardio, two days of shred, one day of cardio, rest day, repeat. The whole "30 Day" thing was just the angle the advertisers took and she didn't intend it to be 30 days straight.0
