I have been consistently logging my food for the past 6 weeks and average about 1550-1700 calories a day. Protein and Fiber are always up carbs are within limits seldom over and sugar if its over its due to natural sugar from fruit or vanilla greek yogurt. I work out 3-4 days a week. I tend to have a 250-450 calorie surplus according to my bodybug BUT I only lost 3 pounds so far :( I know muscle weighs more so I don't sweat the scale that much but I don't really feel a big difference in my jeans either. I am 40 and only need to loose about 15 pounds total so 12 more to go.

At this rate it will take me forever any ideas or suggestions? My workout is a combo between cardio and weight.

Jillian michaels 30 day shred. Read the comments about it here. My mom has thyroid trouble and diet and exercise do not help her lose any weight because of it. You may want to have it checked thru a simple blood test at your next doctors appt.

I feel your angst. I was to the point of giving up. The scale was not budging until I started doing Kettle bell! It is my miracle exercise!

    2 questions...
    1. Have you taken Measurements?
    2. Have you taken pictures?

It's awesome that you are doing cardio and weights. My biggest suggestion would be pick up heavier weights. Push it all just a little harder. The more you work those muscles, the more fat you will burn! And make sure you are working all muscles! The kettlebells are great for that. You can't just go in and do some bicep curls and count that.

I was considering splurging on a one on one with a trainer once or twice to get more of a plan. No I have not taken measurement - scary thought ;) I will give the Kettle a try. thank you

I just had blood work done about 5 months ago that included thyroid. Nothing abnormal there.

I know that it is frustrating for the loss to go so slowly, but with only 12 pounds left to go, a 0.5 lb loss every week is a totally healthy rate.
