Spartan Races are also fun but super challenging. THey have Hurricane races that are not time based and happen at night.0 -

That's a huge deal!!! I did 4 5K races before I run an entire race, which I did this past Thanksgiving. It was so satisfying and such a big deal to me. I almost cried when I crossed the finish line because I was so happy! Enjoy your races!! I did Color Me Rad last summer and it was a lot of fun. Just don't inhale through your mouth when they are throwing the cornstarch at you. Red throat gravy is NOT fun.0 -
5/19 Color Run 5K (Washington, D.C.)
and...more to to come0 -
Shamrock Shuffle
Spring Frolic
Goliath Challenge
Color Run
Warrior Dash
This is my summer bucket list. I am already signed up for the Shamrock and Color.
HERE'S TO OUR RACES!0 -
I did a 5K a couple of weeks ago, That Dam Run 5K in Cherry Creek... I am looking at the Title Nine 9K race in Boulder on Mother's day. I am signed up for the half marathon in Steamboat Springs on June 2nd.
Also, here in the Vail Valley they have the Sportiva Trail Series. I am thinking about trying that, especially since I can train on one of their runs as it is right outside my front door, the Boneyard Boogie here in Eagle.
I would love to do the Warrior Dash at Copper, but I don't have anyone to run it with, and I don't think my husband would do it with me.0 -
 What races are you running in this summer? Working on my race schedule which includes the Colorado Rockies Homerun for the Homeless, the BolderBoulder and Warrior Dash. Any suggestions???
I want to do the BolderBoulder, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the $50.00 entry fee...I mean come on $50 for a 10k? And you don't even get a tech shirt for that!
BUT, I grew up in the Boulder area and always wanted to do it throughout school but never managed to get my butt in shape to do it. Now I could do it no problem, so I really want to finally....I guess I just need to suck it up and pay for it...(and I want my hubby to do it too, so it's really $100.00 for the both of us)..running gets expensive!!
Other than that, I'm planning to do the Black Canyon Ascent (6 miler) on May 18th, and the Georgetown to Idaho Springs HM on August 10th. Definitely want to do a few more, but haven't picked any yet!!
THINKING about doing the Boulder Marathon in September...but definitely still a "thinking" as it would be my first!!
EDIT: Just to say, I live on the west slope, but love the Boulder area, hints the races there (grew up in Broomfield)! Would love to add some Colorado friends!!0 -
I'm a triathlon junkie. Was going to do the USAT Age Group National Championships (Olympic-length) in Madison because I qualified but it's just too expensive. Maybe another time.
The majority of these races are sprint-length. Already have three indoor races done this year and have a 10K this weekend (I hate running).
