Realistic Goal?

Hello,
I am fairly new to this website and am just looking for some opinions! I currently weigh 144 pounds and am going on a tropical trip at the end of April. How much weight is realistic to lose? I don't want to starve myself and plan to continue eating my exercise calories. I am 6 feet tall with a very slender frame (the best weight on my body is about 135). I'm wearing about a size 6 now and would like to be a 4. I was recently in two car accidents and fell out of any kind of exercise routine and am feeling very uncomfortable about being in a swimsuit. I recently was cleared by a doctor to do any kind of exercise - woohoo!
I have just purchased the NROLW and am excited to get started on the weekend. I'm also signed up for a 5k race at the beginning of April and having been slowly increasing my cardio fitness.
Any help appreciated!

With exercise and eating correctly a realistic and very achievable goal would be 2-5 lbs.. But if you are just starting to lift your going to retain water.. so depends on how your body deals with that.0

I think at 6ft and 144 you are doing great! I wouldn't worry about the last 10 pounds you want to lose. Just stay active and eat healthy and I am sure if those pounds want to come off they will. Lifting would be great for your body! I think you are on the right track, just don't worry about that number on the scale too much
And I'm sorry to hear you were in a car accident, and I hope you can completely recover!0 -

Thank you both for the tips and encouragement! I'm happy with 2-5lbs!
Even when I was smaller I have never felt I looked good in a bikini, I'm hoping the lifting will help! I'm excited to get started.0
