Women!!!

Have u every noticed how hard it is to have female friends if u are a female. Way to much drama. Unfortunately I go to cosmetology school so I am always around women and the one guy in my class acts like a little child female one too haha. Sometime I think I can't get through this weightloss journey because I want to stress eat all the time. I don't tho! Instead I find myself more scared to eat because I think I will lose control. I need more self control and well I guess I need more faith in myself. Anyone else ever feel this way? Anyone else need to vent?

friends are friends regardless of race gender sex etc etc0

I work in an office of mostly women and really metrosexual men...I swear we are all hormonal at the same time. Sometimes it drives me insane!0

I definitely prefer male friends to girl friends. So much less drama!0

I work with mostly women at the restaurant I work at. There's a few of them that like to talk gossip and I don't want no part of that crap.0

This is why I loved my job in the oilfields so much. I was on an all guy crew as a welders helper. Got laid off in November an back workin at a school though0

It is hard I swear I try to plug in my headphones while I'm working to tune all the drama and gossip out.0

I agree. Isn't there any maturity where you are?0 -
I have yet to meet ladies my age who don't still act like this. I might have had to mature quicker since I had my first child at 15 but I still don't think that's a reason. At some age they have to grow up right? I'm in New Mexico at a Cosmo school and most are between 18-30. Always have some drama or petty crap going on.0

I guess I'm lucky, I work with mostly men!0

There are very few women I know that are too dramatic, my friend base is about 50/50. I do think it gets easier as I get older, I am more tolerant and expect myself to find the positive in everyone.0

It's funny you would mention that....several women at work asked me what i did to lose weight...what the secret is...when i tell them diet and exercise, they look at me like i had two heads....Like you should be able to lose weight by eating chai rasberry ketone yogurt or some pill or something.0

Amen! I so agree.0

I'm in Bakersfield, CA. And yes, most girls here are like that!! I also had my child young (18) but even before that I was a bit more mature than most...when I needed ta be haha. But yeah, even my mom an her friends act like little jr high girls with all their drama!!0

OMG, women! Amirite?0

Although I generally get along better with guys due to shared interests...
Do you think maybe you might be having trouble getting along with women because you're being a bit of a judgey mcjudgerson?0 -
That happens everywhere, I'm glad I also work with guys mostly, because the few women who do work in the same building seem to always be getting into it. I stick to my side of the building and don't really deal with drama outside my family.:drinker:0

I don't know, I love my girlfriends, gay friends, straight friends, guy friends. I don't judge based on assumptions and stereotypes though. I judge on character and how they treat others. That's just me though, shrug.0

When I grew up, I stopped having problems making friends with women.0

You know what they say the one thing that men and women have in common is they both hate women :P
It isn't the gender of the people around you...its the attitude. You are in a room full of people stressed about study and concerned wtih appearnace...no diet profits from this XD
I love my guy friends gay straight they are all great....until recently I didn't appreciate the beauty of a female friend. Someone who shares all the crazy happy hormonal chicky feelings I go through. We are all AMAZING and we should support each other As Jenna Marbles says "girls are freaking magical creatures" LOL
*sprinkles pixie dust

I like drama online. Because it's quiet.
IRL not so much.
You're in cosmetology school? That has to be a high level of drama career choice. Oy.0 -
Guess I am opposite of most guys. All my friends are female. Just too much macho crap with most guys and / or they don't talk. I love talking and having an open conversation and my female friends, at least most of them, appreciate me because I like to listen to their vents. Plus my female friends tend to be more focused, good at multitasking, and a great motivators to my journeys.0

My grandmother used to tell me that it's very difficult for WOMEN to get along/live together/etc. I have female friends but we have special times in which we come together because I'm certain if we spent TOO MUCH time together we'd drive each other absolutely NUTTS Lol!!! So in answer to your question, I can relate. My advice to you, BALANCE--do you and do your girls only "sometimes". Show yourself friendly, but that doesn't mean you have to stay up under each other 24/7. Unless you have a special female "confident" (and I mean you KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THIS PERSON will keep your business quiet), keep your business to yourself and keep it moving. I have 2 adult dtrs and I can't even be up under them all the time LOL
Love my girls but life has taught me a few things abt "friends" (and actually this is male and female); use wisdom when interacting with them and try not to go "loco" in the process. You'll be just fine.0 -

I am 54, single and childless and the problem I always have with making friends with women is that most of them have only ONE topic of conversation - their kids and grandkids. It's like they are totally engulfed, enwrapped in their offspring. The few that don't bore me to death with kids/grandkids anecdotes and boasting are obsessed with celebrities, soap operas or their own appearance. Oh I wish I could meet some who were more interested in the outside world, in pursuing hobbies and careers etc.
As a consequence, I get on better with men.0
