Mediteranean Chicken Delite Pizza

So, on Sunday, my hubby and I got a papa murphy's take and bake pizza. And I have tons of left overs, - over half the pizza actually. 2 pieces is 360 cals, but 18 g of fat. Now, I've only been eating 2 pieces a day for lunch.... with some baby carrots, ya know? But even tho I am only eating 2 slices a day, I feel guilty that it's still not something I should be having, especially with that fat being a factor in causing me to go over my fat grams. I packed the last 2 pieces for lunch today, but I've been going over and over in my mind that I shouldn't even eat them.
What do you think I should do? I don't want it to hold me down for my next weigh in either....
Thanks, friends!

Freeze it and save the rest for the weekend if you are worried about eating it now.0

The calories don't seem too bad. I always blot pizza with a napkin to remove any excess grease. Maybe next time you should have 1 piece with a side salad as a meal? Is their pizza good? We just got one in town and haven't tried it yet. Do they offer healthy choices?0

The Delite pizza's are very thin crust with healthy options, and usually once slice is half the calories of a regular pizza. I think it's fabulous! You should try it. I love the delite veggie and medit. herb chicken!0

The Mediterannean Chicken is one of the healthiest choices. The fat is mostlly from the feta cheese. A slice comes in at 180 cals and 15 fat grams. When I know I'm going to spluge on the pizza, I keep everything else super low in fat all day so I don't go over. You could also skip the cheese and substitute at home with a low or no fat cheese.0

Papa Murphy's isn't bad. Half the price of typical take out pizza places and I don't think nearly as bad for you as the thin crust Pizza Hut!
Are the fats all icky fats? Like since it's the Mediterranean one could itbe that some of the fats are good ones like olive oil or something? (I've never gotten that flavor - I'm a ham and green pepper girl)
Like someone else said, maybe freeze it. I'm a pizza addict, but I couldn't convince myself to eat it several days in a row even when the cals aren't too high.
As an aside, the blotting doesn't get rid of much fat. It gets rid of other stuff too. So I wouldn't use blotting as your way to make the fat count be lower. You may save yourself a gram of fat (if you're lucky), but lose seasoning and other stuff a long with it. I still blot, cuz I hate messy food. hehehe

Thanks! I think maybe the hubby and I will try it out this weekend for our "cheat meal." :happy:0 -

oh yes, I LOVE Papa Murphy's Delite pizzas. You will have to try it out!! The thin crust and lower calories help me feel less "stuffed" after eating the thick crust kind of pizza, or even just normal crust. It is high in sodium, so when I know I'm going to eat some, I drink lots of water before/after. Its a great little cheat meal, and its fairly cheap! Look for coupons!!!! We get them mailed to us all the time in little booklets, so we haven't paid more than $6 for a large Delite pizza. Can't beat it!!! My favorite is the Hawaiian Hm, I think I know what we'll do on Saturday for our "date night"0 -
I will not compromise on whether or not to eat Papa Murphy's pizza. I just have a salad first, refrain from eating half of the pizza (which I probably could do). If I know it's going to be on the menu, I plan the rest of my day so that I know it will fit into my calorie goal. And I also drink a ton of water. When I do it this way, there's no reason to feel guilty or be worried that I'm "sabotaging" myself. Especially since we only have pizza about twice a month.0
