Ideal weight

Is anybody else like myself and already at, or near to your ideal weight?

After almost a year and a half after I decided I needed to lose weight I have reached a size that I am happy with, I obviously stil use MFP to keep track of meals and exercise and see myself continuing this until who knows when as it has been a massive help in this journey and not only that but I do enjoy logging my meals and exercise because I like to see exactly what I'm eating, plus it allows criticism from others if there is something I could improve on or alter in any way!

A little background - When I first started losing weight was when I began University back in September 2011, I noticed how skinny everyone I lived with were and how their diets were so much healthier than mine (often consisting of pizza, burgers and take out) and I decided one day I would weigh myself to see if I was just thinking I was larger or if it was true. It turns out that I was a good 40lbs heavier than I had been telling myself I was and that's when I decided to change, starting with changing my diet and beginning to exercise!

So now I'm at a healthy size and am so happy of how far I've come and I was just wondering if anybody else is in the same place as myself and would love to meet some new people in both similar situations and also on the path to reaching the ideal weight :) It would be great to get to know some of you guys!

Congrats, that's awesome!! I'm on my final stretch of loss and have challenged myself to reach this goal in the next 10 weeks (4% BF = approx 5 lbs). It's exciting and scary as I've never been on the maintenance path before, but I'm excited to see what kind of changes I can make even after I've reached my loss goal.

I am, I just want to lose a few pounds so my clothes fit better. Its more of a mind thing where I don't want to HAVE to buy new clothes. Its much better for me to watch what I eat and get some exercise in regularly! Good job on getting where you want to be!

    Congrats on your weight loss!

I am pretty much done with losing too. I enjoy logging my food and it keeps me on the right track, and I love the support from my MFP friends. I'm always trying new ways of challenging myself through exercise too. I've kind of focused on reducing body fat % now instead of weight loss. I am NEVER gaining that weight back! Feel free to add me!

I think it's great that first of all you noticed that perhaps you weren't at a healthy weight, and second of all, you did something positive about it. Congratulations on taking charge of your health and fitness so early in life and being successful at it! If you can maintain that healthy lifestyle throughout your life, it will reward you in ways you can't begin to imagine right now.

As for myself, I'm at the lowest weight I've been in about 25 years, but not yet at goal. I think I have about 20 to 25 more pounds yet to drop and it's mostly on my belly, but I know I'll get there. It is inspiring to read about those like you who have reached their goals.

    Good luck at university!

I lost most of the weight ( 45 pounds) before I joined in January.

Went a little off track at the holidays so I joined to hold myself accountable and not let winter be a reason to go off course.

I could lose five pounds...or not.

I've learned so much about working out with weights, and have seen so much improvement since starting them, that I'm really just pretty happy where I am.
