Cleaning HRM chest strap

I just received and used my new Polar FT4 for the first time this morning. It worked great, was much more comfortable than I expected, and I LOVE the data... but I can tell it's going to get gross! Any hints on keeping it clean? The directions say you can machine wash once a week or so, but not to "spin dry". Does that mean no spin cycle at the end? I don't know how to turn that off on my washing machine...

    just take it out of the washer right when it's done and lay it flat to dry. make sure you do it every week because otherwise it'll fritz out in the middle of your workout in put you in a funk :grumble:

    I have the Polar FT4 and I throw it in the washer every week when I do laundry. I just hang it overnight to dry. I have never thrown it in the dryer. I have had it for almost a year now with no problems.

    I usually hand wash mine with mild soap & water.
