Does anyone have any tips to prevent skin irritation from working out? Is there something special you can put on your skin, so when your clothes rub against your body, the skin doesn't get irritated?

When I had thigh rubbing issues, I found Gold Bond powder helped significantly.

    +1 on the Gold Bond.

Also, what kind of clothes are you wearing to work out in?

BodyGlide. Hands down the best thing for what you describe.

What I have is folliculitis. I wear gym shorts, boxer briefs, and a t-shirt. I thought maybe compression shorts would help, but the doctor seem to not think they would be good and might even cause more problems.

A deodorant that is made for sensitive skin - cheaper than the other alternatives too.

    OK that was funny =P

I like baby powder with corn starch. Anything other kind feels too slippery. Plus this has soothing aloe, so it really helps my sensitive skin. I searched high & low for it, gave up & then lo & behold, it was in the baby food isle of the grocery store.

My fiance and I use lanacane anti-chafing gel. A little seems to go a long ways!

Monistat also makes an anti chafing gel that is good. It is not a yeast infection treatment! (But you might find it near there) It's good for friction and at most Targets
