    Regarding those who think drinking at lunch is a sign of alcoholism: Surely it's not uncommon to want to pair alcohol with food? A couple slices of NY style pizza just go down well with a bottle of ale. Or if you have more money, why not a nice lamb burger with a glass of pinot noir?

    Pairing one drink with food, regardless of time, isn't a sign of alcholism. If it were, attending a Sunday brunch would be an early warning sign of liver disease.

    Yep. Whenever a woman has legs like yours it's company policy to try to get her sauced. Well, until those pesky government busybodies had to go poking their noise in private business with their harassment laws and such.

    My ex bf used to have to have a drink at work also. He died of alcoholism at age 44. For some reason I can get through the work day without needing to "booze it". I can somehow wait until I am at home to relax.

    I hope you aren't a school teacher or a police officer. Maybe you're a cab driver. Or better yet a surgeon.

    Okay, the truth is I would drink at work, but it makes me too horny and being that I am a massage therapist, I don't think that would be a good idea. I have a lot of naked people on my table throughout the day.

    Hmm. Haven't sneaked mid-day alcohol since high school, when we thought we were being "ironic" by filling empty root beer cans with Miller High Life. Yeah, I know.

    More recently, my alcoholic mother used to just keep a jar of vodka in her purse at work. Booze didn't kill her until she was almost 73.

    I'm not sure, but I think this says I have some time yet. Phew....I don't want to live to 80. 73 is just about right. Hopefully I have the exact same genetics. :flowerforyou: :ohwell:

    Just hide your vodka in your jello. As long as no one thinks it's weird you've suddenly become a fan of all jello lunches, you're golden. Plus, lunchtime jello shot jigglers! Thats fun! Use the sugarfree kind for some calorie control.

    im a bartender and at work i tried baileys and hot chocolate one day..sooo good..i literally had like 5 ! lol..people thought I was just drinking coffee..until i started acting silly to customers haha :)
