we all know that the scale fluctates from day to day depending on a lot of varying factors. I have taken over a group called its all about the measuring for those like me who want to focus more on inches and less on the pounds. its here on mfp. I know for me focusing on inches leaves me encouraged and keeps me going.

You should measure every 5 weeks. That would be about one full clothing size down when working the way you are on a regular basis. Chest, arms, waist, across stomach, hips, thighs, calves. Fullest part of each body part, making sure to measure the same spot every time. You should measure once every 5 weeks to see a real difference. As far as weighing, I would just weigh once a week. No more than that
Another great idea is to buy the EXACT same pair of jeans in the next few sizes down (to your goal weight) so you can get a real accurate measurement of real sizes lost. I just bought THREE pairs of the same jean. Looking forward to getting into the first pair- size 9, then size 7, then a 5. These are Juniors sizes but I am short. (5'4"). My goal is to be in the 7 fully by first week of June. I would love to be in the 5 by then, but I would be happy with getting into those in July.
I would love to hear more about your journey!
