    http://www.mybodygallery.com

The above is a website where you can type in weight, height, size and body-type to see pictures of what REAL, unphotoshopped women look like. You could plug in your own info and take a look at what women similar to your size look like (Body proportions & body fat vary, to some degree).

Lol great.. no pictures of anyone like me :(

Thank you for posting this. I really needed to see that and I feel a lot better about my breast and body now as well. I'm not abnormal!

I wish I could find it but there was also a site that showed unphotoshopped female genitalia. There was an article in a local paper recently that noted an increase in labia reduction surgery which made me feel a little distressed given that it's a surgery that can result in reduced sensitivity. The site I recall showed waxed, unwaxed, large labia, small, uneven, etc, and encouraged the idea that there is no 'perfect' vagina, regardless of what pornographic films show us.

Well, here's hoping that my post doesn't breach the site rules.

I saw that website too!! I thought it was also a good eye-opener! There was one for male genitalia too.

Why not just not read fashion/beauty magazines? Also, I seem to see real women all the time, ya know, walking around everywhere.

You see naked women walking around everywhere? Jk, I know what you mean. And you're right, but... Clothes hide A LOT. I think a lot of us can agree that what's going on under the clothes doesn't necessarily reflect the outside. I never knew what scantily clad real women looked like until I started seeing sites like this, MFP & some reality shows. No one in my town walks around in bikinis and their beach photos having some noticeable "touch ups" or edited colors.

I'm totally going to check this out when I get home tonight. I'll preview first of course but I'm thinking this might be a good site for my pre-teen daughter to look at so she'll quit trying to be "like all the other girls" in her school. She's 11, 5'8 with a very strong stocky build, it's hard for her to understand why she can't be as skinny as some of her friends.

Go through a fashion/beauty magazine (whose entire existence is to tell women the many ways in which they need to change how they look), and see that the women there do not reflect reality. If women would stop referring to those magazines they might notice the real women who really do "walk around everywhere" as you said.

But your best source of self-esteem is from appreciating yourself.
