Hi this is my first real week . I have halfheartedly tried in the past but didn't stick with the site. I hate counting points so decided to
try calories instead which leads me to the question MFP gives me 1200 cal a day is this enough ? i am 196 5ft 6 help ? my diary
is open . I try to walk on treadmill everyday 45 min at 3.5 miles an hr and take the dog for a hour walk every day . Starting weight training and TRX next week

Not its not enough Change your goal from 2 lbs a week to 1 lb a week. With less than 50lbs to lose, 2lbs a week is too high of a goal Log your exercise and eat at least part of those calories back.0

You're going to get a lot of "1200 calories is not enough" - I would recommend for a week, eat what you normally would, and track it. Figure out how many calories you are already eating. Then, subtract from that total 500 per day and you will start to lose weight. The more you lose, the more you subtract. Or, start at 1200 and work your way up from there if you're finding it isn't enough.0

Hi, mine calorie intake is the same, but I'm at 212. I thought that was too low as well, but I've read that it is normal for those, especially women, who are trying to lose weight. Are you feeling hungry often? If so, try to snack throughout the day. If those snacks don't help, then go ahead and try to up your calorie intake. Hope this helps. I saw that you lost some lbs Keep it up!0
