Small Personal Victory

6 months ago I bought some running shoes to participate in a benefit 5k. I hit the local high school track and at 230lb + I couldn't jog a single lap without stopping. I managed the 5K in 35 minutes later in the fall. This morning at the gym at 194 lbs I ran 10K on the treadmill in 59:12.
I still have a bunch more weight to go, but doing a sub 1 hour 10K really made me feel like I had accomplished something. I can't wait until this coming fall when that 5K comes around again, I'll be the first to sign up.
