Dislike Coworkers and Eating in the Bathroom

My coworkers are so annoying because they always pick on me for eating "healthy." They've even gone to great lengths to sabotage my diet by adding molasses in my super-sized Big Macs. To avoid their hostility, I go into the bathroom to eat my meals and lock the stall. Unfortunately, people come inside since we have thousands of employees and someone coincidentally sits in the stall next to me. They use the bathroom, flush and exit. I am concerned about eating my food after they have flushed. Will my food be contaminated?

    Put an Out of Order sign on the stall next to you. Or lock the stall next to yours and then crawl the wall to your stall.

    Possibly. Why not eat in the bathroom at McDonald's?

    I'm sure you're already eating some fecal matter in that burger you're enjoying....either from the hands of those who prepared it or the animal who made it. Om nom nom!

    Actually, eating after the flush is ideal. At least 5-8 minutes post-flush is the best time frame for food consumption, as all the poop spores lingering in the air have mostly dissipated by this point, and there is less chance of contamination. Good luck!

    First off, you say you're eating healthy. Then you say you're eating a big mac. I don't care what anyone says not even in moderation is that crap ever good for you. Another thing, so what? They tease you? Tell them to **** off. They're probably fat, lazy and unhealthy anyway. Have pride in your lifestyle and more importantly have pride in your body. You've got some nice back muscles (no homo) the rest of you can't be that bad. When they make fun of you ignore them, but dude don't eat in the bathroom. Your food won't get contaminated but that's disgusting. They'll just make fun of you for eating in the bathroom. Be strong, don't let them put you down.

    Just make sure you account for the extra fecal matter calories on your Food Log.

    Hmm i got that but I think it would be better in the chit chat fun n games cos he could be stopping an ambulance full of people that need some serious general diet and weight loss help get to where they want to be?? :smile:

    Yes! When a toilet is flushed germs are spread, and it contaminates an area of up to 10 ft,this is why people need to shut their lids when they flush them.

    This thread makes me sick to my stomach. I used to work in a camp with a dam where we count escapement for the Salmon and one of the workers there never used to wash his hands after using the outhouse (restroom). He would cook after using the outhouse :angry: I would never eat what he cook but still :sick:

    Make a lot of grunting noises while you're eating, and that will ensure that the stall next to you stays empty.

    Judging from your pics they are probably jealous. That sucks though. Can't you leave your office and eat wherever you get food or in your car? I would do that just to avoid the stress of the situation. They hassle me here too, but I try not to let them get the best of me. If people are putting things in your food you should tell your HR that is just plain wrong.
