Hi all. New here.

My specialist suggested I keep track of my diet and exercise. She suggested I double my calories and triple my exercise. I was on a restricted "diet" because of allergies and sensitivities. I just could not eat the substitutes, and my body was starving. For me, that meant my body started hoarding any fat/calorie I took in, and I started putting on weight. With the blessing of my allergist, I have added a few minor allergins back in to attempt to get on a more "normal" eating pattern.

My biggest issue is exercise. I just need to do more. I need motivation and sometimes a swift kick.

I tracked myself here months ago but never followed through. I just started again & am hoping to stay on top of it this time. I started at a gym a couple of weeks ago & plan on meeting with a trainer late next week. My goal is to drop the weight I gained after quitting smoking. I'm sure the trainer will want me to do strength exercises as I'm almost 50 (gasp!). Good luck to you. ~Lisa
