My friends can't see my food diary because then they'd know how many calories I save for wine. Do you have anything to hide?

My once a month indulgence on McDonald's during my period... it's embarrassing but I just crave it!

No secrets here. My friends can see my wine even when it's the entire bottle. Lol

Haha, that was my Friday night last week and everyone saw it! I still lost weight too- I think wine may be a secret weight loss drink :)

Fast food, chocolate and cookies ... but my diary is open so my friends and anyone else on MFP can see my food "sins".

Nothin' to hide! I don't care if people see what I eat. I don't always eat great, but it serves as a good reminder, and I always look back during the week to see how I'm doing.

no secrets for me either - I put it all on their the good and the bad (take today for example)

but sometimes I don't complete my day so it won't show up in the news feed and hope no one notices!

I have a friends only diary, but I don't hide things. I'm not ashamed of what I eat... besides, the Snickers-a-day regimen I've been on hasn't hurt my waist line one bit.

I drink wine also, but I don't hide it, because I am not here to impress anyone. They can delete if I offend them for being ME.

I haven't looked, but I venture you are young. You'll grow more confident with who you are some day and then you won't give a hoot what people think.

Just checked, you're 53, lol. OOPs, I was way off.

You could always add it and see the calories and then delete it before anyone sees ;).

You can always keep it open and do the "quick add calories" to hide your indulgences! Like how I did with that 250 calorie subway cookie I helped my 3 yr old eat.

I had to slowly but surely get to that point. Now that I am, it puts the pressure on a little bit to really eat right. But Im human just like everyone else.

I always add it, whatever I eat or drink. I just don't necessarily want other people to see it. I'm not sure I get the whole looking at other people's food diaries thing anyway. The only friends I had on MFP were my real life friends until recently and one of my new virtual friends made a comment about not being able to see my diary. I was thinking about that when I posted this topic.

I don't drink wine, but I add and delete things all the time. I mix and match until I'm happy with the macros and calories BEFORE I eat the meal/snack. After I fiddle around with the meal, then I go make and eat it. ANyone else do this?
  • I add everything I eat, I just don't share it with the world. I'm not exactly comfortable with my food habits yet, and still working out the kinks. Perhaps if I did share it might motivate me to eat healthier... To pp I just add it after I eat, maybe looking at the calories I am consuming before I consume them would be a good thing. I'm going to have to try that.

I do that as a planning tool, especially if I'm going out to dinner. I'll check out the menu and plan ahead. Gotta save enough calories for wine. ;-)

Mine's open. But it probably should embarrass me that it says Movie Theater Popcorn and IHOP almost every Saturday.

BUt I will tell a secret. Sometimes I plug in the exercise that I plan to do . . . and then later remove it if I don't follow through, lol. But even still I've been below my calorie goal each day.

Mine's open with no secrets! Not even the Double-Double I had at In-N-Out yesterday. Although I did get it protein style... But it's all out there - wine, beer, mixed drinks, burger night (weekly), pizza, ice cream, plus all the healthy stuff. Keepin' it real! :drinker:

Yes. I plan meals days in advance and just edit them if I end up doing something different. It helps me shop.

My food diary is open to my friends -- what use to have friends who are supposed to be there to encourage and keep us on track if we hide the toolbox from them. I have nothing to hide -- yeah, I may eat a half-block of fudge one day (special occasion) but I am not ashamed of it.. I even highlight and explain it (20 year anniversary)... but I don't hide it. That being said, I am a teacher and I don't keep an open diary for the general public... But my friends can see what I am doing if they wish.
