I'd love some help from the other tiny ones. I'm 5', 150 lbs and my goal is 115. I've set my daily caloric intake at 1200. Just wondering what other 5' women have found success with. What is your daily intake, do you exercise, if so do you eat the calories burned. How long has it taken you to lose? Thanks so much!

    Hi There

I recommend you try the tools on the page above. It will help you work out what you should weigh, and what is a heatlhy amount of calories to eat per day. I'm 5'4, and my BMR is 1439, so this has become my total daily intake as science suggests itn't not wise to eat below your BMR.

    Take care

    Marie

I am 5'3 and currently weigh 150 SW was 163 and GW is 135 or so. I started January 13 on here and MFP had me set at 1200 calories and did great at first, but started feeling horrible. Was very moody, hungry all the time, and got headaches, took almost a month before my body started reacting this way, but within the month I did lose 10 pounds. I started resaerching bmi and TDEE calculations, so I have increased my calories to 1380 which is a little under my bmi, basically I did the tdee activity level minus 20%, II do eat back most of my exercise calories. I also might add that I feel so much better, and have tons of enegy. I have only been doing this for last two weeks seem to have went down a pound and half, and then going back to up a half pound, then down again. Thinking my body likes the zig zag technique better.. Hope this helps, good luck :)

    I am 5'0, currently 118 lbs.

    I eat between 1800-2300 minus 400 exercise calories = around 1600 NET.

Exercise is usually 60-80 mins a day,
but when I'm not exercising I'm a "lightly active" lifestyle.

I have mine set to 1600, and normally eat back 1/3 or 1/2 of my exercise calories.

I was set at 1200 but wasn't seeing any results, so I used a few different calculations, and everything said I needed to be higher based on the amount I am working out. So, I bumped it, and in 10 days lost 2 lbs. Figures.

I was eating between 1400 and 1600 or more and not losing so I am eating between 1200 and 1400 and started losing again. I am eating low but also doing low impact exercising. As I get closer to my goal I am going to up my intensity of my work outs and start eating more.
    I am 5' 4.75

I am 4'11 and just under 150lbs (149.8 as of today). I started out at 1200 and was doing ok at first but have recently been really hungry so this week I increased my cal to 1350. Today, I netted about 80 under goal and I feel ok so far.

I started around 130 and worked my way down to 115 eating around 1200 plus cardio. I am not extremely active though, so it would vary based on that. :)

5'3'', I set my calories to 1550 but I don't log like everything (coffee, spices, cooking oil etc) so I probably eat about 1700 kcal actually. :3 I'm trying to maintain my weight, so I may need to up it more once I 'get used to' this..

to lose weight I ate 1200-1350 kcal (plus the unlogged calories).

I am 5'3 and the last time I weighed I was 160lbs (2 weeks ago). I started at 1290 calories and would eat back exercise calories but I weighed in and the lb that I'd lost, I'd gained back! So I took the advice on MFP and raised my calories and I lost a pant size and am definitely smaller (weigh in is Monday morning).

I currently set my MFP status to "lightly active" and I still log exercise calories. My net is now 1660 but I usually log about 1500 per day. I feel so much better with more food in a day and I'm still losing weight.
