weight gain I presume from under eating..help!

It was only yesterday that the light's went on and I realized I needed to eat back my exercise calories to at least net 1200. I have gained two pounds in the last two days. I don't want to gain all my weight that I lost back. How long does it usually take for your body to realize it will get the 1200 calories. I am so upset about this. All that hard work over the last 6 weeks, eating super healthy and working out two hours a day and now I am gaining...

The scale can fluctuate as much as 5 lbs due to sodium, bloating, etc. Inches are the true indication of progress as well as how your clothes fit. But, you have a point. Netting below 1200 and even at 1200 is very low. I can eat 1500 calories a day and not work out and lose weight.

It is probably just the sodium you had yesterday. Drink a few extra glasses of water today and i am betting you lose that two pounds again.

Could it maybe be your TOM? When I started on this weight loss journey I went up a few pounds a few weeks into it and I was so upset but then I realised it was just water weight due to TOM. Happens all the time now but disappears after a few days.

Give it 4-6 weeks with increased calories. Put your scale away. Make sure you are logging accurately by weight not volume. Enter your own recipes. Be patient and try to relax (easier said than done I know). :flowerforyou:
