I think I need more good fats in my diet. How do you like to eat avocados?

Sliced on a sandwich and on tacos.
An easy way to prepare them is to cut in half; rotating the knife around the pit. Then slide a spoon between the skin and flesh to scoop each half out. This a way easier then peeling them.0 -
I will take one and mash it with some garlic and sea salt and little lemon or lime juice and eat it with corn chip not to many though
also i take half mash it up and spread it on a sprouted wrap i only eat half the wrap also and sprinkle a little sea salt on top
Put it in your smoothies your salads your turkey tacos
Oh and Coconut oil is a good thing to bring into your diet for a good fat

With Fajitas, in omelets, pureed in a cold soup, blended in smoothies, on toast with melted swiss, with a Caprese Salad, etc....LOL I LOVE avocados.0

If you eat eggs:
1 avocado
1-2 Hard Boiled Eggs
Salt and Pepper
Optional: Spash of Greek Yogurt
Onion
When I used to eat dairy/eggs, this was one of my favorite lunches.
All put into a whole wheat wrap with sprouts, tomato, etc...0 -
Toast with tuna in springwater (no other fats) ...0

Umm..almost anyway? They are great cubed into vegan corn chowder, or mashed onto a toasted bagel with cheese and tomato. I love guacamole tacos....
Here's a great salad idea:
Big bowl of mixed salad greens(whatever you like: spinach, spring greens, romaine, etc.)
1/2 cup cranberry delight trail mix(cranberries with seeds and almonds)
1 large avocado, cubed
1 sliced or cubed cucumber
a few sliced mini sweet peppers
Raspberry vinaigrette(light or regular)
Mix it up and serve, its delish! To make a more complete meal, we eat it with salmon or chicken, but it can be a lighter meal on its own.0 -

Oh thank you, this looks right up my alley!
And thanks to the posters reminding me about tuna.. I have added it to tuna in the past but forgot about it!0 -
Yes.
But guacamole is still my first love.0 -
Avocado slices on toast spread with cream cheese and topped with a tomato.
Or, in a mixed salad.
Or, mash with tomato and a spritz of lemon for a simple guacamole.0 -
plain!
with a wee dash of salt.

i use it instead of butter. i eat 1/2 every morning spread a little on my whole wheat toast and then just scoop out the rest and eat with a spoon. YUM! or chop it up and throw it into a salad.
nuts are also very healthy fats too; same with olive oil. make your own dressing with olive oil/apple cider vinegar0 -

I only just at 1/2 at a time... so eating one whole avocado daily isn't too much fat? (I'm trying to lose about 18 pounds). I realize it's healthy fat but I just get a little confused with how I"m supposed to balance my fats.
Thanks.0 -
1/2 avocado with just a drizzle of honey dijon dressing!0
