Moving pets - any advice?

I just moved out of home into a share house and am picking up my kitty tomorrow..

she is 7 years old, a female, an indoor cat, and is currently with 2 other cats and 3 dogs but will be moving in with just 1 (gentle) doggy.

Thinking for the first couple days will just keep her in my room until she is comfortable then slowly introduce her to the rest of the house and the puppy.

Does anyone have any advice?

I don't want to stress her out too much :(

That's a good plan. Take it slow. Cats can be very temperamental when it comes to re-locating and especially when it comes to being introduced to a new furry roommate. Here's a good website on introducing cats to other pets that might give you some advice.

Oh, and I think brandon was kidding about poking holes in the box.

You know if your cat is a easily stressed cat or not.
What you propose id fair enough.
If you it faster, let the cat in the crate, and let the dog and her sniff... when all are calm, let her out and let her explore at her own rate. Do not pet her or try to get her out of her hiding place if she hides.
