Just purchased a Body Media should I still use my HRM for my workouts?

    Just bought one too! BM Fit Core model... first day = today. I worked out this morning and already took a peek at the log for when I exercised. All I can say is AWESOMENESS.

    Follow up: I know it takes a few days to become more accurate, but in general, I love how it tracks things down to the minute. So... sort of ignoring calories now, more so just peeking at what it will be able to do.

    Yeah. My HRM gave me huge numbers compared to my BMF. I'm losing listening to the BMF though, so I believe in its accuracy.

    I still use my HRM along with my BMF band.. but I love to see the numbers. If you do something like a stationary bike, the BMF band will not register that, so definitely use your HRM for that as well.

    No, though there is a new one coming out at the end of this year that is theoretically waterproof

    Also, it might register driving as activity (it does for some people, me included). Might want to experiment and see if it does for you. If it does, just take it off when you are.

    I have the little monitor that you can get with it, its really good to see what you are burning throughout the day. :0)
