Not losing the weight!! Help a girl out?

I started 3 weeks ago working out everyday (5 out of 7) and cutting my caloric intake to a net 1300. I have also increased my water intake to a "run clear" level (in other words peeing all the time).
My work outs are mainly Cardio - walking 2.7-42 speed on the hill setting treadmill... (usually an hour) and the Arc Trainer about 30 minutes each day. Burning about 600-900 calories per day.
I've lost only 2lbs in the last 3 weeks! My NSV have been mainly how much easier I move around... jeans maybe a little more loose.
Monday starts my 4th week!
I want to see the weight come off! What am I doing wrong? I'm not quitting... but I need some advice. And hiring a trainer isn't in my budget at the time.
Thanks in advance... and ask questions if you need.

2 pounds in 3 weeks is still a pretty good rate of weight loss. I know it's hard, but have patience and stick with it.0

I know its not what you want to hear, but slow loss = good. The faster weight comes off, the faster it goes back on. 2lbs in 3 weeks is great. Keep doing what you're doing!0

I haven't lost much weight in months. But!!! I lose INCHES. Get a measuring tape, take pictures! That's the best way to see progress. Screw the scale.0

I agree with the others. You HAVE lost weight and I would be willing to bet you have (more importantly) lost inches. Don't fixate on the scale, it doesn't tell the whole story. I haven't bothered to weigh myself in weeks. My clothes keep getting more loose, and I have purchased smaller clothing that fits, twice now. I'll get around to weighing myself again at some point or other.
Rapid weight loss may provide the quick gratification thing, but it's more likely to return just as quickly. Change your lifestyle, eat more healthy and exercise just as you have been doing, the weight will take care of itself.0 -

There is no issue here just be patient. I never understand why folks think this is going to happen overnight when you took longer to gain the weight!!!0 -
You may need to increase your calorie intake because 1300-500/600=700/800 calories a day. Your body may be in "starvation mode".0
-
Some weeks you might find yourself with a 1.5 loss, some with a .5 loss, and some with no loss at all -- even if you're pretty much doing the same thing! I really hate the term starvation mode, but it is true that the body usually reacts pretty negatively to weight loss at the beginning. It does everything it can to prevent it from happening. So you have to be patient with it and just keep trying. Upping your calories to 1500 might do the trick to burn fat because your body hopefully won't be as desperate to hold on.0

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Having patience is probably the worse part of the whole weight loss thing!
You could try adding some strength training in there to mix things up a bit, which is what I had to do after my weight loss seemed to stall, but I'm back losing again. Slowly, but thankfully surely.
Hang in there, you got this!0 -
Thanks to all. This helps me too because I've reached a plateau also. I am still losing inches and haven't measured this month yet, but I know my gut seems to be larger but my clothes are fitting better and butt is looking better, but gained 2 lbs. I weigh in on Saturdays and measure towards the end of the month. Last month didn't so well either as far as the scale is concerned but lost about 4 inches overall.0

Puhhhlease! It took me 8 months to lose 5 pounds last year. Stick with it. You are doing great!
My only suggestion would be to cut back some of the cardio and add strength training. Okay, two suggestions....measure yourself instead of weighing. You may find that you lose inches even when you don't lose weight.0 -
You said your pants are loser...then you are losing. Plain and simple.0

I'm not putting your choices down, I'm truly trying to be helpful. Where is your meat? As a used-to-be-vegan I can tell you that if you don't get enough protein you will get fat/not lose. Your diary seems to be full of a lot of high carb grain-based foods. There is exactly where your problem lies. Some of the foods you're eating probably have hidden preservatives in them as well. Read your labels. If you don't know what it is, don't buy/eat it. Plain and simple: If you are not fully meeting your body's nutrient requirements, your body will remain inflammed and thus, refusing to let go of any fat already in your cells. Hope this helps. Do some internet research on your own. You will find calories aren't even in the top 5 things you should be keeping tabs on. Keep track of your omega 3s, carbs, proteins, vitamin D especially. Eat more naturally occurring fats and less man made chemically enriched powder shakes. Your body wants real food, not over processed, bleached out powder from a can. Again, I've been there done that. I've been a vegetarian, vegan, and a protein shake-a-holic so I feel confident in telling you all this. Really hope this helps! I know how frustrating it is to feel like you're giving it your all and not getting progress. Just stick with it and take the time to learn about health and give your body what it needs and it will eventually let go of the fat.
Side note: Drinking too much water can actually flush your body of vitamins and minerals that it needs. Just be careful.0 -
You keep at it and the weight will come off. I'm sure your clothes are fitting you better than they did. It only makes sense that if you are eating less and better than you did and you are excersizing more than you did, the weight has to come off. it will take time.
Why don't you add me to your friend list . I am a good motivator!!

Weigh your protein! there has to be something that you might be not adding right there but I think 2 lbs in 3 weeks i awesome. usually in the beginning is when you lose the most because you just shock your body with all this exercise and healthier food...then it slows down. You must be VERY patient! Think of it as a new lifestyle it has to be gradually, stick to it! I had my ups and downs but I'm just doing it somehow hehe0

Be extremely vigilant in your weighing and logging food. You might be eating more than you think you are. You also might be overdoing the cardio a bit if you are really doing an hour and a half every day. Also, how are you figuring your calorie burns? Do you use a HRM or just go by the database, or machine computers? They might be overestimating your calorie burns.
If you have only been cutting calories for 3 weeks, then you shouldn't be hitting a plateau already. Most likely, either you are retaining water from the new intense exercise, or you are off in your record keeping for meals. WEIGH everything, don't just go by measuring cups. Weight are more accurate for things like pastas and meats, cheeses, nuts, etc,0 -
humm.. thanks people! I will measure again - I did 2 weeks ago (ish).
My boyfriend patted my *kitten* this morning and said, "wow babe... your *kitten* is firming up! bubble butt! love it! Whatever you're doing, you're toning!"
And that was purely out of the blue... so I'm guessing I'm not seeing it as much as it is happening.
Cutting my sugar intake down though... and sticking to red wine for an evening drink, if I want one. (rather than mixed or beer).
Gotten some stevia... that will replace at least the refined sugar intake I manually put in my coffee or food.0
