Sick and tired of dieting, am really going to put everything into this. I receive a degree in July
and do not want to go up on the stage in front of hundreds of people as a big fat frump!

Welcom to MFP, and good luck with your goals! Diets never work.... at least not in the long term. Best advice I can give is start making little changes that you can live with, and please eat more than the 1200 calories MFP gives you to start with. It definitely slowed my progress in the beginning. It's a hard lesson for a lot of new people to learn. It takes calories to burn calories.
The people here that approach this as a lifelong journey are the ones that stick around and reach their goals. There are some very inspirational people here. We can all learn a lot from them. And creep people's food diaries. Best way to know where you fall is to creep those who are on a similar journey as you that have lost weight.0 -
Congratulations on joining up and curious as to what degree you are receiving? Good for you! Friendly advice - be honest about what you eat and log, log, log EVERY day - do not skip a day - take your time and learn your way around the site - don't get frustrated - people here will help you if you ask - start adding on some friends (glad to be one if you'd like!) and you will find people here very supportive and helpful.
