Finished month 1 of Insanity with no results! :(

I followed the nutrition guide thing, ate 1800-2000 calories a day and did all the workouts in the first month. I don't see any results and gained a pound actually. What is going on???

Insanity works differently for everyone.Don't let the one pound weight gain worry you.I barely lost any weight when I did it.Keep doing what you're doing.Month 2 is where the big changes start to happen.

I suggest you take measurements.Don't trust the scale. It hardly ever moved for me while I was doing it.My measurements and clothes however told a completely different story.

There's a whole heap of Insanity support groups on here.Or even go onto beachbody and see what info can help you.

Don't give up!This program is worth it!!!

I'm on Insanity, I'm gonna take a look at your diary, if you don't mind.

Also, how were your macros? Did you hit 40/20/40 for Carbs, fats, and protein?

Update: Just looking at what I could see, your macros didn't seem to be in the range where they needed to be. Cut the carbs, up the protein.

Also, Insanity recommends closer to having 5-6 smaller meals.

Photos... I swear by photos for insanity. Seriously the scale may not move but the photos don't lie.

I quit weighing myself and this is what I got.

I finish Month 2 this coming week - month one doesn't normally yield a lot of change but month 2 is where you will get the change - at least this i what I have read.

The exercise is only about 20% of the change.

Your intake is 70%. And the macros with that is another 10%. So your eating has most to do with what's gonna happen.

Fix what you do on the go, in the kitchen, and in the market first. The weight loss will come afterwards.

Just had a look at your diary. You need more protein.

Follow the increments/food blocks insanity tells you on the nutrition guide.MORE PROTEIN.Trust me on that.I had to do it myself.Good luck!!

Then I would say, food logging should be mandatory. Its pretty much impossible to out exercise a diet not in the spirit of weight or fat loss. If you got a smartphone, the MFP app works wonders with giving you a macro in pie chart form even the website does not.

My diary is now open to the public to give you ideas of how I hit those numbers because my entire weight loss here has been because of following the program about 99% to the letter. (I preferred to use the Mifflin St Jeor equation instead of the Harris-Benedict equation Insanity uses. Why? Its more accurate.)

My macro for today is: 42/15/43, which is close to the 40/20/40 Insanity wants you to hit.

I have another question, could it be hard to lose weight for me since i'm only 165 pounds at 5'8?

I'm guessing by weight, you mean body fat percentage. That being stated, I don't know your BF% to say for sure. I know for men it can go pretty damn low. Seen men with as low as 4%. Those people told me its diet first, exercise next, then progress third.
