Stress and weight loss

Does stress affect weight loss? The last 10 days or so I have been under tremendous stress. I only lost 2lbs last week and nothing this week despite my eating and fitness. The only thing that has changed is my stress level.

Stress definitely affects my weight loss. If I'm very stressed, my weight loss basically stops. For some people being stressed makes them lose weight but it definitely doesn't me. One thing I will say though is make sure you really are eating the same as you normally do. I was stressed out a couple of weeks ago and even though I was under my calories as usual, I was eating a lot more sugar. I cut back on the sugar and started losing weight again. Stress definitely can hurt weight loss but sometimes stress will affect our eating and exercising without us really realizing it.0
