Skinny guy.. building muscle - HELP!!

So I recently joined up and I'm starting to really count everything. I have been working out since last Nov. and I am seeing results but not the results I am looking for just yet. I weigh about 185 and I am 6' 0".. My goal is to have larger muscles while maintining nice abs. My lower body is where I want it but my upper body could use some work. I also think I would have nice abs if I could cut back on the sugar/sodium because it all goes to my stomache.
MY question is what should I set my limits as with my stats and my end goal? I have looked all over the internet and there seems to be mixed opions.. Should I have a 3k cal limit? I want to start eating foods with low sugar/sodium but high in protein. How much protein is too much? I eat mostly chicken/turkey/fish.. and sometimes red meat. I love yogurt and I always eat vegtables.
Currently I am on a business trip for a week so I am limited to eating out. Any help is appreciated!!

I'd suggest starting with 300 calories over TDEE. Lift hard. You will gain body fat; that's unavoidable.0

Get big, then cut the fat. They say "If your abs are showing you ain't growin'"0

This was my original idea lol0 -
GOMAD and pick a hypertrophy program like DC, HST, or PHAT. Personally, I love DC because it allows me to be flexible and tailor my program to my needs and preferences but there are plenty of good programs.0

1g/lb lbm will likely be sufficient.0
