How to be more active/easy exercises?

Anyone have any suggestions for exercises/activities that are enjoyable/fairly simple?

I'm terrible about exercise, but I've been trying to start up small habits--taking the stairs, walking the long route to classes, stretching daily, crunches/push-ups. I want to do more, but I don't know where to start. I have some heart problems, so I can't do anything too drastic (I've tried club sports at my college but I'm just too out of shape for it) but I want to try and get more fit.

Any suggestions would be lovely.

This video helped me see things in perspective about easy exercise and things that are too hard...

I would suggest swimming. It's great cardio and will help you get get your fitness levels up. Cycling also, whether its out on a bike or in the gym. These kind of things you can go at your own pace and gradually work it up a bit at a time. I don't know what restrictions you have regarding your heart condition but maybe an aerobics or Zumba class? Water aerobics at the pool? and of course walking, this is how I started out, walking a bit more, a bit faster each day, if gave me the stepping stone to try new things. Good Luck!!

I park as far away as I can from a store so I walk more.

Thanks! Swimming or cycling might be good options, I haven't tried those and working up the cardio I can do would probably help loads. And definitely parking would help-since I've gotten better at parking in tight spaces I have gotten lazier :p

I run up and down my stairs 10-20 times. It's a really good workout!

I do bodyweight squats, pistol squats, and lunges while I wait for the microwave and while I'm cooking food. Planks during commercials (both arms, one arm, the other arm, both arms) when I'm watching TV. And I go to the gym several days per week.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've never really thought about using stairs more than just to get from A-B; I'll have to give it a shot. I'm always worried about squats/lunges though--it never really feels like I am getting a good work out, and the few times I actually felt sore I had ended up injuring myself. I guess I should just look up better form :p
