It is the day before St. Patrick's day and I need to start a diet and watch it to be able to control it. This site seems to give me all I need to follow my progress or lack there of. I need to lose about 35 to 40 lbs. to improve my health. I am excited to get started and so I started today. I am already about 400+ calories over for the day. I need to watch my intake and make sure I am doing enough excersise to help offset my intake.
My name is Tom Brady and I don't play football. But I am Irish so Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.

Happy St. Patrick's day to you Tom Brady! Enjoy and you'll take care of those 400 calories tomorrow (well maybe not tomorrow) but Monday:laugh:
  • Welcome! I joined about 9 weeks ago and it has been great! Please don't let the 400 calories even enter your mind from here on out; that is why we are all here, to learn and realize how to change our lives. This is a huge step and congrats on making the decision!

If you've just started it will likely take a few fays to adjust your intake down - don't worry about it, just get a little better each day. Also, if you set MFP to a "2 lbs per week" loss, they've calculated a 1000 calorie deficit for you each day, so going over by a few hundred calories still leaves you with a nice deficit for the day. Progress. :)
