There was no elite runners, no one from different countries, there wasn't 1500 runners either. Nobody to greet me with a medal, no fan fare, no cheers. Just me....in the middle of town, hands raised with tears in my eyes at what I had just accomplished. 13.1 miles, at the same time of day that the masses were running in NYC but I was alone in Jersey, in 2 hrs and 51 secs. A pace of 9:14 a mile!!!
