So basically I put together a protein shake I thought would be okay for my breakfast and post workouts! After adding everything up I think the numbers are a little high my recipe is :

1 scoop amazing grass (original)
2 scoops gnc total lean 25 (French vanilla)
1 tbs. chia seeds
2 tbs. pb2 powder

( I do plan on taking the pb2 out sometimes and adding strawberries and more types of fruit. )

This is the nutritional information

395 calories
13g fat
23g fiber
4g sugar
38g protein

Does anybody think its a little much?

Hmm, maybe try 1 scoop of gnc total lean. And add a 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.
  • Never thought of that the shakes call for 2 scoops and I would think VE would add sugar.

Cut back to 1 scoop of the powder. I used to have Total Lean, but switched over to Pure Protein Plus French Vanilla stats are very low with high Protein, add in 1/2 frozen banana, flax seed, PB2 and it's delish!

I personally don't feel it's too much. I don't do protein shakes too often anymore...only because I just started eating more protein foods...but when I do do them I usually do 2 scoops which is 52 grams of protein for the powder I use. My diet is also 50% protein right now though so that's a big factor in why I do 2 scoops.
  • Why did you switch if you don't mind me asking? Personally I found this to be a good balance between calories, sugar, fat and protein. I don't really consider this a meal replacment other than a on the go breakfast. I do plan on drinking them for breakfast and lunch for 1 week to kick off my weight loss.
