Hi my name is Mitch and I am 46 years old with three beautiful daughters. I am Virginia born and bred....lol.
I have been I guess what you call a "Gym Rat' since 1992. I took off about 6 months from the gym and got lazy. Next thing I know I had put on almost 30 lbs, mostly around the mid-section. My job requires us to have a health screening...in that time they said my cholesterol was high, I had high blood pressure, and I was overweight, even for being muscular. I knew I had to change.
I had enrolled in a school earlier to be a personal fitness trainer and now I felt...like uggghhh.... but I am now on track. I passed my exam to be a personal fitness trainer and boxing fitness instructor. I am back in the gym, I am working my way toward my goal of a lean 185 lb. Each day is a challenge but the more I workout the stronger and better I feel. My lab work shows that my cholesterol and bp are normal. Everything came back great.
I find each day a challenge but I have set my mind on my goals and slowly but steadily I am getting there. I hope to meet friends on here that we can encourage each other. I have found that is a vital tool.
My long term goal is to work as a weight loss specialist and help others maintain their goals.
Well...it's a journey that is worth taking so I am on the road.
So hello from VA and God Bless.
