now that i have been eating more veggies and fruits and drinking a ton more water lots less fried foods and stuff my stomach has been killing me and (this part is really gross and personal but I need help) i've been having to use the restroom about triple what i usually do not to mention i pee every 5 seconds now.... My stomach has been giving me FITS.. and i mean like some times it cramps up so bad it feels like i'm having contractions (not that i would know how those feel b'c i've never had a baby, but it's what i imagine a contraction to feel like... is this normal? am i just detoxing? what is wrong with me!!?

It has only been happening the last few days.. I've just started working mroe veggies and fruits in my diet... I've only been at this for a week or so...

How long has this been going on?? A drastic change to your diet can induce some stomach issues. Veges and fruit are naturally high in fiber. Perhaps the fiber in your diet was not really existent before and your body is learning to react to it? Maybe lay off some of the fruit for a few days to see if that improves. Some people can't handle fruit as well as others - especially in higher quantities.

I was going to say the fruit also. It took me awhile to get adjusted but the chia seeds really help.

I agree with the others, its probably because of the increased fiber and water....it can take your body a bit to adjust to it, but its worth it :) Another thing is to make sure you are washing your fruits and veggies very very well...there is so much bacteria on them from the ground/trees, plus sitting on the shelves at the grocerystore or farmers market, it could definitly cause a reaction too. Maybe try a probiotic supplement to help with the cramps....it helps to balance out the good and bad bacteria in your tummy :)
  • If you have had very little fiber in your diet and you have added a lot at once this will happen to you. If you have never had much fruit then your body will need time to adjust to it. Your body is cleaning itself out this usually last 5 to 7 days and then you levels off.

I'm just so ready for this weight to be off.. i'm getting married in 3 months (exactly months from tomorrow actually) and i just want to look good for my wedding... I wish i would have started doing this 6 months ago when we first got engaged... i just only imagine how much weight i would have already lost and kick myself for not doing it then..

Better late than never.....atleast you started is all that matters.......and you can still lose quite a few pounds by then....

A drastic increase in fiber can cause constipation and constipation can cause severe cramps, because your system wants to go but you cant

Whenever there is an increase in fiber, there also needs to be a major increase in your water as well

Try and drink lots of hot tea, to aid you in increasing your water content, and probably help releave some of that stomach ache you are having

    Feel better soon

I would agree with everyone else! You most likely weren't eating a high fiber diet before and your body is now reacting! This is why it's recommended to gradually up your fiber intake so you don't have unpleasant side effects. But once you get through the icky part it will be worth it! All the fiber will help keep you fuller longer! Just make sure you keep up with your water intake so the fiber flows out! :blushing:

Too much fruit can give you the... lets say "digestion issues" lol You may want to cut back on the type of fruits.. Or pay attention to what fruits/veggies you eat and when you get the stomach cramps. Also, try adding some carbs in there so the fruits and veggies have something to help absorb it. Its almost like having a liquid diet (because they digest so easy and fast) if that is all you are eating. Include some brown rice and oatmeal in your diet. Make sure you measure the rice bc too much can do the polar opposite and make you constipated.......
