I was 505lbs last year, got down to around 415, and got sstuck on the platue, for over 6-7 weeks i did nothing about it, jusst kept doing what i was doing, worrking out for 2hrs at gym, light stuff, just putting in time, bike and treadmill, and light weight machines, trying to avoid my belly button hernia, which I need to have operated on some day soon, when I get the money or insurance , but that is another story for another thread.
I need to go back into the trucck next month because that is how I make money, and I need some because my lottery investments have not paid off, so I must go back out on the road, and will.
Now I use to bleam the turck for me being this way, but this must change, my attemot at taking 6 monthss off to lose weight did not meet my goals, 375lbs, last weigh in was 414lbs, and i may be up 5lbs or so, since then, not sure, but likely yes!
I need some great idea's please, and support, as I am all alone, no better halve, no family, or the few friends are too busy to staay on my azz, to make sure I do what I need to, the discipline goees out the windwow when I get into the truck, NOT THIS TIME, I WILL DIE IF IT DOES, AND I DO NOT WANT TO DIE !!!!
I NEED HELP AND SUPPORT, AND HOPE I CAAN GET IT HERE, BECAUSE BY MYSELF, I HAVE A LOSUY TRACK RECORD. YES I LOST ALMOST 100LBS, ALMOST, BUT BEEN STUCK FOR MONTHS NOW AND HAVE TRIED CHANGING EVERYTHING AND GOING TO MY COMFORT FOODS BUT MUCH MUCH SMALLER PORTIONS, NOT SURE HOW YET HOW THIS IS GOING TI WORK, BEEN UNABLE TO WEIGH SINCE SELLING MY CAR, SORRY.
WELL ENOUGH RAAMBLING SO MUCH MORE COULD BE THROWN OUT HERE, BUT I MAY HAVE DONE TOO MUCH ALREADY, I WAIT TO SEE IF AANYONE ANSWERS THIS FIRST,
BY THE WAY MY CAPS ARE STUCK, NOT YELLING HONEST, FORGIVE ME FOR MY OLD STICCKY KEY LAPTOP

OKAY, I HAVE ALREADY MET A FEW PEOPLE HERE, AND YES THEY MAY BE WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR , BUT 1 IS OVER THE POND AND MAY BE HARD TO REACH UNLESS ONLINE, AND DRIVING THE TRUCK ALLOWS LITTLE ONLINE TIME, AN HR OR 2 A DAY MAYBE, IF LUCKY.
I NEED A PHONE APP THAT CALLS ME EVERY HOUR TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO, AND ASK ME WHAT i HAVE DONE TILL I CAN SAY THAT THIS NEW LIFESTYLEE IS NOW A PART OF MY DAILY ROUTINE, NOT JUST SOMETHING I WANT TO DO, BUT SOMETHING I ACTUALLY DO, THIS MAKE SENSE ?

Hi Patrick
Congrats on your weight loss to date that is a very good start.... I took a look at your diary and do not see much in terms of entries? Are you logging elsewhere?? I ask because I do not log on this site, I have always used hand written journals and is my preferred method (Pen to Paper, guess I am still old school in those regards). But tracking/logging is Very Important, it is the only point of reference you can rely on to go back and see what worked and what did not work. May I ask how many calories you are currently eating?? I am not a believer in low calories (even for the super morbidly obese) When I started out at 560 lbs. I never ate less than 2500 calories and today, on non-exercise days (yes I eat my exercise calories back) I eat right at 3000 calories a day/ with exercise around 4000 calories... Do you cook alot of your own foods or ??? I enjoy cooking so meal prep is fun for me, although nothing is off limits as long as it fits my caloric intake and macro's. I eat a couple pop tarts every morning for breakfast and it has not derailed my weightloss to date.... I will wait to hear your responses to my question before I add anything else...... again congrats on the weight you have lost so far... I know oh to well how hard this road from 500+ is.......0 -

Posts like this make me thankful for the UK national health system.
I don't really understand how your health system works but is is possible for you to get some sort of diet/ health counselling. Or maybe a personal trainer who can set you a diet/eating plan and then monitor if you're sticking to it?0 -
Well , yes if you pay for it , or have really good health INSURANCE, otherwise, if you are just plain old working stiff, no!!!
It would be mice to have thou, but I will stay here and hope things will work out fine, it seems thou this site does have it's number of international members, which adds some flavor to it.
USA, you gotta love it and hate, if I was totally broke and homeless, for a minimum of 6 months in 1 place then I could , maybe, qualify for health help, maybe.
If recently laid off, you do not quailfy, or worked at all in 6 months or so , you do not qualify,UNLESS YOU BUY HEALTH INSURANCE AND AT MY SIZE, THAT WOULD COST OVER 1500.00 A MONTH OR SO, TOO MUCH FOR ME TO AFFORD0 -
Best thing I can tell you to do is consistently log your food and workouts. Just take it as an extra activity you do after each meal. It has worked wonders for me. Though now I have figured out how to get past my last plateau which is lifting heavy.
Be consistent and watch what you eat and the weight will come off.
Good luck0 -
Log every bite of food that goes in your mouth, cream or sugar in coffee, candy, gum, everything and make sure you weigh and measure it. I bet you're eating a lot more calories than you think if you aren't losing at your weight. Use MFP as it's designed, fill in your info, get a budget and stick to it. There's no big secret, it's just hard work on your part which will be even more difficult if you're eating at truck stops.0

That's unbelievable bin the UK size, if you smoke etc doesnt come into it.0 -
Yepper, I use to smoke 2 packs a day, but quit and put 200lbs on, , honestly I think I would rather be skinnier and still smoking, sometimes..but yes insurance dows take's your size and health into consideration before giving you health insurance, and if you have anything, they can choose to not sell you insurance, or sell it to you an have many exclusions in it, yes in this country the INSURANCE COMPANIES RUN THINGS, every politician has some insurance PAC paying them, it's tthe amercian way, lol
You really have to have been my size to say this, otherwise you really can not understand t , but sometimes I wish I was still smoking and around 280 or so, because I could still do many things I find difficult to do now.

OK but we need to work with what you've got then. Keep logging on here, gather friends and chat to them regularly to keep motivated. Weigh your food and log everything. Maybe think about going on eBay to get a used cheap Fitbitbor Bodymedia fit. Ill send you a friend request.0
