New Rules of Lifting for Women Stage 2 Results (pics!!!)

Ok so I started The New Rules of Lifting for Women strength training program in January. The program is split up into stages, and I just finished stage 2. If you do 3 workouts a week like I did, stage 1 takes about 6 weeks, then you are supposed to take a week off, and then stage 2 takes about 3 weeks. I ended up taking two weeks off in between stage 1 and stage 2 because I got really sick, which may have hindered my results a little.

The first picture is before I started the program, the second picture is after I finished stage 1, and the third picture is after I finished stage 2:

I think I see a difference, but sometimes it's hard to tell when you are looking at yourself... what do you guys think?

I've also been biking 50 miles a week (I love biking!) and running 3 miles a week (I'm not so fond of running...). I've been eating between 1900 and 2200 calories a day most days (my goal here is not to get skinny, it's to get strong!)

Anyways, I'd love to know what you all think and if you see a difference!

You look tons different. Your thinner at your waist for sure. Also your thighs are much thinner as well.

You looked amazing before in the first pic but the third pic you look like you are in much better shape. Good Work!

So exciting! Just officially started stage 1 today so it's great to see other's results :) Congrats on the progress...I can def see a difference.

New Rules of Lifting for Women is a book that I also highly recommend. Breaks everything down into an easy to follow program that can be tailored (weight wise) towards anyone's goals and abilities, IMO.

Great, how do you do your 50 miles? Pick 1 or 2 days a week and do intervals. 30 minutes, ride easy for 1 minute then bust *kitten* for 1 minute. try that to rev up the calorie burn and add a routine to biking

You look loads different! Pic one is a less-flabby version of my shape now, so I look forward to getting more towards your 3rd pic!
  • Haha edited because I was slow on the draw! See a clear improvement in your waist, hips and thighs.

I see a big difference between the first and third pictures, but not a whole lot between the second and third pictures. Maybe the background distorts a little to me? You look fantastic though! I can only hope to look 1/2 this good.

Yes, there is definitely a difference between the pictures. It's subtle, but definitely there.

What a difference in only a few weeks!! Wow!

You have motivated me to a) keep at strength training b) get through NROLFW book & get to workouts & c) to preserve even when it gets hard.
