Healthy Rapid Weight Loss?

My family is going to Myrtle Beach in August. We have decided to do a "Biggest Looser" program, to see who can lose the most weight before we go to the beach. I usually have a 90 calorie cereal bar or ww yogurt for breakfast, a lean cuisine for lunch, and a sensible dinner, trying to stay within my 1200 calorie limit, which was recommeded my myfitnesspal. Does anyone have any other low calorie ideas or suggestions for meals and snacks for a quick but healthy weight loss that will help me. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

These aren't really specific menu suggestions but my best advice is always tons of water, tons of veggies, and as little refined or processed stuff as possible. You might want to check out Healthy Choices new line of frozen lunches, they're preservative free - and GOOOD!
Also if you exercise be sure to use up your earned calories too. Ex: if your daily calories are 1200 and you 'earn' 400 with exercise, eat all 1600. I know it doesn't make sense but that will help with your weight loss.

you can add a ton of raw vegetables to just about anything for very, very few calories. like last night, I had a broiled tilapia fillet (4oz, approx 100cal), which I flaked into pieces, then put into two corn tortillas (at 55cal each), and added a squeeze of lemon, a spoonful of salsa and a bunch of shredded red cabbage and sliced red bell pepper to each taco. The veggies added maybe 25 cal but a TON of flavor, plus they make it more filling. All total, it was just about 300 cal for a two fish taco dinner. Not too shabby, eh? Also, if you just NEED something sweet - skinny cow ice cream sandwiches (1.5 grams fat, 140 cal, DELICIOUS) or Dale and Thomas Kettle Corn (the BEST kettle corn I've ever had, a generous 2 cup serving for 150 cal) are both AWESOME. I also like to take the fat free jello tapioca pudding cups and freeze them in popsicle molds (get the molds at the dollar store). it's like a vanilla fudgecicle in texture. Also, you can eat an amazing amount of watermelon for next to no calories. hope this helps. good luck!0

be sure and watch your sodium, some of those frozen meals are loaded and will hinder your hard work!
try natural almonds, light string cheese, lean proteins and veggies veggies veggies!! Drink water all day!
Good luck and have fun! We are leaving fo the beach next week, can't wait!!0 -
To keep yourself from getting fatigued and having the munchies, you need to increase the amount of protein you are getting at breakfast. If you prefer bars, throw the cereal bars out, and try one with more protein. Kashi makes some protein bars that are good for that, also the Zone Perfect Bars are good. Check out the labels at the store. Typical cereal bars are notoriously low in protein and high in carbs
I just had a 15 gram of protein breakfast that had 10 gr of fiber and only 350 calories. It was an ounce of ready to eat shrimp meat/aka salad shrimp; 1 hardboiled egg, a fiber one blueberry muffin, and a small banana. There was 8 grams of fat, (4 fr the egg) which will also keep me feeling satisfied for a while.
If you substituted a second HB egg for the shrimp, that would be a very portable meal, if breakfast needs to be that way for you. Yogurt is a good start, but unless you choose one of the higher protein types, you will need an additional source of protein.

I like the FiberOne 90 cal bars. It tastes so good and is only 90 cals, 2g fat, 95mg sodium, 17 carbs, 5g fiber, 5g sugar and 1g protein. It is a great snack and helps to curb my appetite between lunch and dinner.
Definately make sure that you are snacking some between meals as this will help increase your metabolism also.
Good Luck!0
