So according to fat2fit radio my TDEE is 2548 calories i reduced this by 30 % to loose one lb per week , so its about 1784 so i adjusted my macros to 40%carbs 30%protein etc. now, if i ate these 1784 and for example burned today 250 calories that would equal 1534 , so do i eat them back or not? Do i have this right? help if i am doing something wrong.

That's my question about TDEE in my post a few mis ago. You got the TDEE with the BMR too? Your 2548 is the calories you are allowed to eat? So to loose weight you reduce the %, right?0

No you don't eat them back because TDEE takes into account your exercise calories so you would be double dipping0

@AlexBoBalex79 yes thats how i got mine, i dont know if its correct,.
Thanks, well i dont understnad it if my deficite is 30% and , idk i guess i am off somewhere, b.c MFP let me eat my calories back before i adjusted it manually.0 -
you shouldn't really have your deficit as 30% unless you are hugely overweight. 20% is a lot more user friendly and sustainable0

That's because MFP doesn't take into account your TDEE, if you want to add your exercise. Manually change the calories burnt to 1 calorie, then it won't mess you up.0 -
Why don't you do a 20% deficit to lose 1lb a week? That would give you about 2000 to eat every day and you would not eat back any exercise calories. If you want to log your workouts, log them as 1 calorie burned.
ETA: Basically everything she said ^^0 -
Well i wanted to start off with 30 % i read somewhere that's the max u could start with, i am 242 so i am quite overweight, and i just wanted to see how it will effect me i can live off 1700 calories i used to eat only 1500-1600.....i will see how it goes and adjust if needed later. I guess i could log my exercise at the end of the day ! Thanks everyone! Do you guys think i calculated it right? i used the BMR calculator.......0

How tall are you? Need that to figure your numbers. Also, what level did you use to figure your TDEE? Sedentary? Lightly active? Active? If you used sedentary, you may want to eat your exercise calories. If you actually figured in your workouts, then you don't eat the calories back because they are already there.0

If you want just give me your details and I will double check for you (you can message me if you don't want to put them on here)0

Symonep gave me this great link in my post: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
That will give you how many calories to eat with the deficit. I would not eat my calories back in that case.0 -
remember you need to recalculate with every 5lbs lost as well0
-
Have messaged you your info. Will post it here
Got
BMR 1868
TDEE 2568
TDEE -20% 2054
All quite good amounts to eat. Definitely use the scooby site as I find it a lot more user friendly http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ You also need to re calculate with every 5lbs lost.
Always remember to NEVER eat below your BMR if you are just going to eat at a regular deficit. If you start exercising more you will need to take that into account also0 -
Doesn't Fat2Fit Radio's tool calculate your maintenance calories for your *goal* weight? Meaning you don't need to subtract anything at all?0
-
Is the TDEE approach better then what MFP has set up?0

This is exactly what I have figured out today! And I'm starting this new plan today.0 -

^yes, I believe this is true.
Eat the number of calories that your future self at goal weight would eat to maintain.0 -

Alot of people have had great success with both.0
