Help~!!

I was using mfp set on sedentary (I had a desk job). I am 5'2, 115 pounds, 23 years old, female. I changed jobs last month... I am cocktail waitressing now at a casino. I work 40 hours a week, 8 hour shifts, and probably 5 of the 8 hours are spent walking and carrying a tray full of drinks. So I decided to change my settings from sedentary to active. MFP STILL says I should be eating 1200 to lose weight. I am confused because I thought a much more active job should mean i am able to eat more and still lose weight. Is somwthing wrong with MFP? Or am I thinking about this wrong?

Honestly it is probably because you are already so small. There are several good BMR calculators online that I like to cross reference so that all of my eggs aren't in one basket (mfp). I would check several of those and maybe take an average of them to calculate your calories. Hope this helps!

I've been on a few different sites like this and they ALL say 1200-1500 calories per day (for women), regardless of starting weight, height, age, or activity level....

I tried 1200 per day (I'm 5-8 and 48 years old), but I didn't lose weight and was shaky and weak all the time. I upped it to 1400 and now I feel great and am losing about a pound a week.

Each person is different, so just listen to your body and see how it responds to various calorie allotments and activity levels. You'll quickly determine what works best for you.

    Good luck!
